HeartSine Samaritan® Pad
The Samaritan® PAD is now available with pediatric capability.
As of March, 2007, all units shipping from HeartSine will be provided
with the capability of accepting either an Adult (gray) pad-pak or a
Pediatric (pink) cartridge. The adult unit will provide 150/150/200 joules
escalating output, while the Pediatric-pak™ provides output set at 50 Joules.
New samaritan PAD units that are adult and pediatric compatible are
identified with a label (above) showing an adult and child image.
Samaritan® PAD units are also labeled Model 300P (for Pediatric capable).
The label also corresponds with the respective Pad-Pak colour—gray for adult
output and pink for pediatric. The pediatric-pak is provided with 3.5
year expiry, the same as the adult Pad-Pak™.
